Talk about something? Hmmm.... I'd avoid politics because that is a thorny issue..... Maybe talk about which era of music was possibly the best?

I'd say that the era that starts with the Velvet Underground and ends with say the birth of the Ramones is possibly the best. There you have the birth of punk, the emergence of funk, the emergence of heavy metal/hard rock. Those were fertile times.
