I think Albelda doesn't have any reason for this. Valencia is allowing him to train with his partners and it's paying his salary, but Albelda's lawyer seems very convinced of winning in courts. He doesn't have any right as a footballer to play matches, just to train and get paid.

He asked valencia for a pre-trial agreement to be paid 7 million euros and be free to go to other club.

So Albelda is basically arguing that not playing is detrimentally effecting his ego? He signed a contract, therefore, the team can determine when he plays. I'm no contract lawyer, but that makes the most amount of sense to me. Of course, Albelda, well actually his lawyers... I don't think he's very bright, can argue that not being allowed to play may effect his future ability to earn an income, but since he's under contract that's not really Valencia's problem.

Christ, what I've read so far, this trial is a farce!

In no random order (someone correct me if I'm wrong):

-Cañizares says that he now has to train on a different pitch with different light.
-Bakero later responded by offering Cañizares sunglasses.
-Albelda denied what Cañizares said.
-Albelda doesn't remember if Curro Torres or Del Horno were on the team last season.
-The meeting where Koeman told Albelda that he was no longer needed lasted 5 minutes.
-Albelda had the opportunity to go to Chelsea, but chose not to.

Also, and this is sightly off topic, I finally figured out how to add pictures to my blog. Cool.

Valencia's lawyer clearly destroyed albelda. He recognize he is training with the team, that Koeman is the chiev now and when he was playing, that he didn't accpet other offers of going...

There is a sentence. Judge kick Albelda's ass saying that he is not right in any of his arguments.

Valencia will have to bring a good offer to go from Valencia if he wants to play football again.

The judgment makes sense. I can understand why Cañizares and Angulo did not follow in Albelda's footsteps - his argument made little sense. Albelda plans to appeal though - talk about trying to hammer an 'I' into the word team!

I think for the peace of the team and for some degree of respect for all three of them, Valencia should move them in the summer. Albelda, for being an ass, should be transferred to Real Sociedad, since he likes Basques so much. For the other two, I have no beef against them.

Albelda might be in the first eleven tomorrow against Zaragoza. The shame level this team produced on me this year is unbelievable.

I think I'm going to retire from seeing matches until this finishes. If I want to suffer I will look for masochistic webpages in Internet ](*,)

yeah, I feel your pain Drakul. I have no desire to watch this match against Zaragoza. I hope Valencia wins of course, but I just want this season to be over.
