Which could be the mark this season? We have played well in some matches, and bad in others.

Valencia was beaten in Intertoto Cup last August by Hamburger. The team lost 1-0 in Germany and we couldn't win the final in Mestalla: 0-0. So Valencia couldn't play UEFA Cup this season. I must also remember the matches against Deportivo de la Coruña in Spanish Cup, with two referees who don't want Valencia won them. Iturralde Gonzalez indicated a penalty in the match played in A Coruña which was very doubtful. Next match was worse, Megia Davila wanted to suspend the match after Villa scored a goal and the referee assitant was injured by a coin. When the match could be played another time, Megia Davila decided to indicate other penalty which wasn't, and we can say the referees beat Valencia in Spanish Cup.

The league got some stages, the team didn't start in the best way though Valencia got a draw when played in Camp Nou and won Madrid in his stadium. Then we got to be sixteen matches without lose, winning Barcelona in Mestalla and being Barcelona with six points of advantage to Valencia. But Valencia didn't play well in next matches like Getafe or Sevilla and finally, the league's end has been a disappointment. We must fight for the second place and Valencia lost against Mallorca and Osasuna :?

So I think my mark is 6 for Valencia. Quique got a strong team another time, but he didn't know to use it in different moments. We're going to play Champions League, but if we had finished second, my mark would have been better.

After a disastrous last season, finishing in CL spot was our priority no.1.But having said that I felt,we had enough talent to really fight for the title.Again a un-experimental coach who played the same starting 11 every week & a not so good display from our top players either due to bad form(Baraja) or injuries(Vicente,Aimar) meant that we had to be content with 3rd spot.

But in the end I am glad that we made it to the CL & we can now not only lure good players but build on this to really push for that elusive CL trophy.

7 out of 10

Valencia looked goot this year, but was quite unstable.
We were relegated from Intertoto Cup & Copa del rey, though the former was not only our fault, as whole LFP hasbeen struggling against us.
Season hd a good start, bad end of 1st stage, good start of 2nd stage, & terrible final.
Positive side of this season is, that David Villa apeared on Valencian scene. So did Miguel.

Did you read that maybe the matches against Inter in CL last season have not been regular. Italian medias are announced the talk between Inter president Fachetti and Pairetto before the Inter's matches against Anderlecht and Valencia.

This is the link but it is on Italian:

http://www.tgcom.mediaset.it/sport/articoli/articolo310502.shtml

If they prove any connections with unregular matches, I'm for it to send them to gail because they deserve it!

Wow, this info is so shocking...
I hope they prove the truth...

I hate inter after that match. Not because we lost, no, just because our loss was unjust.
We have lost to hamburg as well, but they really deserved that victory, so I have great respects towards them, unlike Inter & Werder.

Well, some teams are being investigated in Italy. It seems Inter chose referees to play in Champions League against Valencia, Werder Bremen and Anderlecht. I'd be very angry if Valencia must won that match, but that match was so poor, we lost 1-5 and Inter didn't need any help.

But I'm sure, reading this information, Inter also chose the referee when we played against them in 2003 in Champions League. We lost 1-0 in San Siro with a Crespo goal, and we were winning in Mestalla 2-1 when the referee Kim Milton Nielsen didn't want to indicate a penalty done by Materazzi to Juan Sanchez. It was so unjust!!!

Materazzi is "dirty" player, and that match has been very strange, Inter score goal in 4th minute and after that they almost did nothing because VCF attack all the rest of 85 min.
