we got Chelsea. I don't really mind that draw. They are good but overrated and I think we can win it. It'll be one hell of a rough ride but I I have a good feeling about this.
I agree completely. Chelsea wouldn't have been my first choice, but I don't think they're unstoppable. Lampard, though he does score some, in my opinion is pretty overrated. He really can't help generate offensive chances for teammates as he can't dribble for shit and beat players and has what seems to be a repertoire of small back passes. He is good at the long ball pass, and his defence is okay, but I think he's been mediocre for at least a year. Still, he can't be completely ignored.
Not sure if Terry will be back in the line-up after the unexpected gift of Diaby's boot in the Carling Cup final. He must have received a pretty nasty concussion for getting such a swift kick in the head. Luckily they're playing Essien as a centre back, as I think he is wasted in the back. He is one of the best players on Chelsea...I wish Valencia had him.
Drogba actually got his head out of his ass this year and is playing quite well. He'll be difficult to shut down. Shevchenko, though not having a good year, can't be discounted. Cech now wears protective headgear due to a nasty kick he received, but still he is one of the game's best keepers.
I just wonder what will come out of Mourinho's mouth before Valenca and Chelsea meet? He's good for at least a quote or two.
Valencia will have to play better than they played against Inter if they want to advance. I really don't think Valencia can rely exclusively on set-pieces to score goals. Chelsea have been unsettled at the rb position and now use a defensive midfielder in that place, Diarra, a Makelele look-a-like and play-a-like. Hopefully Silva, Vicente, and Villa can exploit this.
Rafa put it best when he said it will be 'one hell of a rough ride'. It will be sweet to beat the 'arrogant one'....but wait, if Valencia beats Chelsea, would that make Quique the better coach?
