Since a long time there has been rumour that he would be sold.After 5 years & lots of ups & down's,what is ur opinion.

Every season,I wait to see him show his magic of River that made him so popular,but alas,he is too injury prone.And last season,even with less injuries,I felt he didnt make much of a difference.

I feel that after the WC,if there is a very good offer,maybe more than what we paid for,then I wouldn't mind him being sold.

I also feel,that if he is sold,we can then use a conventional 4-4-2 line up since now we have Moro who's good in the air & he and Villa can have a good partenrship.But at the same time we should get a world class RW to put in those crosses.

Journalists say Aimar isn't happy in the team because he believes he could play better and can't do it in Valencia. Aimar disliked when he has played some matches as left winger and he's happy in the city but it seems not in the team. Aimar's contract ends in 2008, it can be Pablo don't want to renew it...

I think Aimar won't play better in other teams than Valencia, since european football is very different to american football. Aimar can't play better in other teams, and if there is a team for him... it will have such good players that he can't play much with his injuries and the other players... If Aimar doesn't want to continue in the club, Valencia must sell it to other team with other player in a change. I'd sell Aimar to Manchester if C. Ronaldo came to Valencia.

I dont think we should sell Aimar.. i can't think of any good replacements for him that can be bought within budget.. C. Ronaldo will be very hard to get and its unlikely he will come.. but i agree he would be an EXCELLENT replacement.

I think Aimar is going to be sold this summer. VCF needs cash for new players, and Aimar doesn't fit in Quique's ideal team.

Of course I think Aimar is the most talented player in Valencia team, but even that, I recognize that he is not happy with Quique's playing system and he has to be sold. If we wait he will leave Valencia at the end of his contract and Valencia won't earn anything.

Yes, I like Aimar, he has been very good and talented player and he is still today, but some things are changed. In River he played excellent and everyone expect the same in the VCF, maybe is too much pressure on him, but who knows.
I agree with sx1 about Aimar games, I also expect every new season that he will play very good, more better than past season, but nothing. He play one match excellent, next match is average, third match get injury and that is replaying least half season. If he, for example, play least 7,8 matches in a row he can get his form from River. But if is injured in every season least half season then we must sell him if someone will give us very good offer, I like him, but he must go to the less strong league and to club which answers to him.
About replacement, we won many matches without him, and I don't see the reason why we can't continue that, and I think that a good replacement for Aimar they can find in South America(Argentina,Brasil).

Who couldn't like Aimar? He is just a wonderful player. No doubt that he is going to leave before next season starts though. Its sad, but its the best move for the team. I'm not very critical of Aimar, but if we can say anything about him, he doesn't score enough goals. Thats why Quiqie was trying to buy Kalou, to slot him into Aimar's role, but use him the way he has been trying to use Aimar. With a player like Kalou, they create and score. Aimar mainly just creates. I know its not Aimars nature to score the goalds, but when only one striker is played Quiqie expects the attacking midfielders to chip in with a few I suspect.

So if a new playmaker is bought, I'd expect it to be a physically stronger player which has an eye for goal. Good technically but not as good as Aimar. I wouldn't assume so early that Morientes is going to start. I think that for a lot of the seaon he'll be on the bench and back up for Villa. But then again, we never know. I suppose we'll have to wait. But I wouldn't rule out playing only one upfront in many games this season.

Why would you want C. Ronaldo?? He is one of the most overrated players out there. He is greedy, disrupt the harmany of the club by thinking he is better than everyone else/ bigger than the club. A result of his greedyness makes cuts down a lot of team oportuniries. He is a very lazy player. We don't have to get a player like that in. He would cost far too much money. So if Ronaldo was signed I would be extremly pissed off. He is increadibly inconsistant. I can't see him turning it on each and every game. Not to mention how right footed he is and all the easy chances which would goto waste. I don't want that bastard near the Mestalla. If we were going to go for a player like that then Quaresma is a cheaper option and a more complete player.

Quiqie has said that he wants Castelan for the right wing anyway. i'd prefer him to Ronaldo too.

What about C.Ronaldo - I think we need players, not talentless clowns!

I think Cristiano Ronaldo is a wonderful player, the best in the world playing in his position. Yesterday I watched Portugal - Luxembourg, and enjoyed seeing Ronaldo and Miguel on the Portugal right wing. Great quality. For me it would be a dream having these two players in Valencia.

My complaint about C. Ronaldo is that his final ball can often be very terrible. He is very good at beating defenders, but he often does so by going wide and not breaking inwards toward the centre of the pitch. I guess this is why he is the author of some really poor crosses. I haven't seen him play for Portugal, but the handful of Man U matches I've seen on television he seemed to be guilty of the just mentioned offences.

Back to the topic, it will be sad to see Aimar go, but I think that the way Quique wants the team to play isn't really suited to Aimar's abilities. I'm not sure who would replace him? Would Silva be used in the Centre of Midfield?

A team that plays as defensively as Valencia shouldn't even play with a playmaker. A creative midfielder like Edu + two wings + two strikers is what Flores wants.

Aimar would play much better if he played for Barca or Villareal. He is a player who needs people infront of him to show his creativity. If Aimar stays at Valencia and we don't sign a right wing, I'd play him as a RW and he could cut into the middle to create aswell. When he cuts into the middle Miguel coulkd cover the right wing.

If Silva comes back, I think he'll play back up to Vicente. Flores will be strick with the 4-4-2 formation next year. But since we would have king's cup and champions league, I'm sure Silva and Gavilan would be of a good use at the left especially with an injured Vicente.

But then I have a question for you.

Why has he been playing with Aimar for the whole season?
And also saying that he liked what he's done the last term.
But I totally understand your point but still, Quique seems a bit confused himself I'd say

I think Aimar mainly played because Kluivert was out injured most of the season, Mista was also injured every now and then and wasn't on form. I think Aimar did very good this season, the only downside is that he didn't score a lot.

I agree Quique doesn't quite seem like he knows what he wants, hopefully though Quique doesn't make the mistake of selling Pablo.
